  1. Even if Trump committed no crimes, even if he knew the investigation would show he'd committed no crimes, the mere intent to impede or hinder the investigation IS obstruction. This is the Repubs' achilles heel. They don't understand, or they pretend not to know about, this aspect of obstruction.

  4. Trump's alleged belief he committed no crimes does not exculpate him from those crimes. Just as his belief he's a "great Christian" does not exculpate him from his many instances of adultery.
