  1. I own a 2003 Element EX with 122k miles. I love it. Nothing else looks like an Element. I'm gonna drive it until the wheels fall off. I do all my own maintenance (fluids, brakes, belts). 1. If you want more power you have to rev over 5000rpm for the VTEC to kick in. Also, if you want quick acceleration you shouldn't be driving an SUV. I think it accelerates just fine for normal driving. 2. The rear seats sit very low to the floor and give very little legroom for adults. Only small kids would like them. 3. Loads of headroom. I'm 6'7" and still have space above my head. 4. Gas mileage is not good, about 20mpg city and maybe 25 highway. 5. Rear seats can fold up to the sides or be removed completely for max cargo space. I use my Element to transport firewood. I recommend the Honda Element Owners' Club site if you want to know anything and everything about it from owners.
