  1. The elephant in the room: biggest waste of energy by vehicles is the vehicle's weight, by far. The lightest EV weighs over 3000 lbs. That's a lot of waste for moving a 200 lb. person. Anyone who rides a bike up a hill knows how crucial weight is.
