  2. Ah, finding studs behind drywall is a no brainer however, what about finding studs behind plaster and lathe? Need new test to find that out. Many older homes have horizontal lathe nailed to studs and then plastered with up to 1/2" of plaster that turns rock hard and painted with 15 layers of paint over the years. I've never had an easy time finding studs behind plaster because the horizontal lathe gives false readings. Can you test for that? Thanks
