Is it a prerequisite to working for Time Ghost to have bookshelves with Christmas lights on them?

Putin: "Ukraine has been part of Russian empire since ancient times." Ukraine: "We beg to differ."

Speaking of baseball, my dad was stationed in Pearl Harbor starting in 1938. He said that prewar Pearl had the NY Yankees stop on tour there before they went to Japan. Since he was on the baseball team, he got to play the Yankees! The caveat being that they weren't the A list players but were almost as good and they were Yankees.

@6:30 Interestingly enough, the fasces is featured on the back of the US Mercury dimes 1916-1945.

My grandmother told us that they used to chew on peppermint leaves as it grew wild in the fields of the area.

So, do the Ukraine flag colors represent the sky and ground (wheat)?
6
@Cynizen The Romans did the same thing back when. They used cheap expendable units first in battle. The units were always decimated but the enemy expended valuable time and energy fighting them. When the enemy was all worn out, then the Romans sent in their elite troops to finish off the enemy.

Give the Nazis credit for one thing, they sure knew how to put on a spectacle.

Ironically, one of the reasons given as to why Putin invaded Ukraine is he was worried about NATO becoming on Russia's doorstep. But, by invading Ukraine, NATO will be on Russia's doorstep!

I learned long ago to not watch or trust "the news" sources as I would always come away after watching unfulfilled, asking more questions than I got answers and didn't learn anything about what was going on. It'll be refreshing to get the facts without the fluff from you guys!

I guess trying to overthrow a democratic government is no big deal. Six months in a cushy prison? Sounds like modern times. History repeats itself and not much has changed.
4
Has there been any 5/5 ties?
3
Can't wait to get to M (Mao Se-tung), N (Nazi hierarchy), P (Pol Pot), and S (Stalin). Oh, this is too easy.
3
"Man-Woman-Marriage" sounds like a cognitive test for Drumpf.
3
I'm surprised that there has not been a resurgence of the KKK.
3
Newton: Never realized that he was such a dick but I guess that goes with the territory and puts him in the same category as Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.
3
@5:50 I didn't know Marlon Brando played Mussolini.
3
Joseph Kennedy bootlegger extraordinaire.
3
I thought that was Putin super imposed in a Nazi uniform on the thumb nail.
3
Ukraine: Proof that history repeats itself.

I have a book titled "The Russian Chronicles". It describes the history of Russia going back to the tenth century. Ironically, Ukraine has been part of the Russian Empire over the centuries in one way, shape or form. Just saying not justifying.
2
Excelsior (Ever upward): is actually the motto of New York State and is on the state seal.
2
I know how this sounds but thank god the US isn't the only country to subjugate indigenous peoples through genocide. But, according to some people, you'd think that we were. By the way, I am not advocating genocide or endorsing it.
2
I'm Spartacus.
2
I'm retired, so, every day is Sunday and no day is Monday.
2
@2:00 "Venus on the Half Shell" by Kurt Vonnegut!!!
2
Wasn't Liberia started as a country for black expatriates from America?
2
Talk about made up countries...<cough>USSR</cough>...hello Putin, are you listening...?
2
When you lose your sense of humor, you lose a little bit of your soul.
2
I have a book titled "The Russian Chronicles". It shows, but not focusing on, through text and maps that Ukraine has been part of the Russian Empire off and on since the 10th century. Just saying not defending.
2
"Land of racial tension, financial scandal and the Blues". Mmm, not much has changed in 100 years has it it not?
2
I wonder what it's set at right now.
2
@TimeGhost Thanks.

Women were forbidden to smoke and those that did were looked down upon. But now, thanks to women's liberation and feminization, women's cancer rates due to smoking are on par with men. Congratulations, you've come a long ways baby
1
"Exterminate". "Resistance is futile". "Kill all humans".
1
Btw, FUCK YOU YOUTUBE!!!!!
1
Isn't this video basically the same as the previous one?
1
Ever higher. It's also the state motto of New York.
1
Reading the TimeGhost History channel disclaimer. Who the hell in their right mind would be in support or apologetic of what Stalin did!!! Churchill and Roosevelt were slow to come to Russia's aid at the beginning of WWII because they were hoping that the Nazis would beat up on Russia enough that Communism would collapse.
1
@15:03 Now, I remember why I didn't like the comic strip "Little Orphan Annie". It was too wordy and not funny. I was a kid. I wanted to be entertained and comic strips were supposed to be simple and entertaining.
1
I looked in the comments but could not find what this episodes tie was rated at.
1
I remember trivia about the filming of a movie where the prop guys replaced the tea (looks like whiskey) in a glass with the real stuff so the actor had a surprised reaction to drinking what he thought was tea.
1
Where exactly are you defining the start of WWII...Japanese invasion of China, start of Nazi party, invasion of Poland?
1
Gives new meaning to "The Police" song "Canary in a Coal Mine".
1
Funny, I was just asking about if the dicktionary was continuing.
1
@Raskolnikov70 I did and they said there is nothing wrong with me.
1
I take it that's vodka in the glass?
1
Is Sparty Jewish? Just wondering, not judging.
1
Q: What is the difference between Nazis and communists?I A: Nazis kill other peoples and communists kill their own peoples. Btw, Stalin was a psychopath and Hitler was a sociopath.
1
Indy sure missed his calling.
1
@indiananeidell9186 Did not know that...that's great!
1
So, where does all that money go?
1
I'm just wondering what this tie was rated by the tie rating guy?
1
Still unproven with facts.

Belarus is next.

WGY, 810 AM radio in Capital District area of NY, was granted an experimental license in 1915, revoked in 1917, and relicensed in 1920 (Wiki). I grew up in the area and remember that WGY and TV station WRGB were pioneers in the industry started by General Electric.
1
Are you guys going to ruin more childhood memories?😅
1
God forbid that we should remember history. No, we need more mindless drivel to fill the empty minds of people that can't think for themselves. BTW, go fuck yourself YouTube!!!
1
So, whatever happened to the whole generation of ayrian breed children with blonde hair and blue eyes? Did they know they were part of an experiment, did they really excel in physical challenges or mental testing? And what of their children? No one seems to want to touch this subject. As bad as the research was being done litterally to innocent people, the results were astonishing. Again no one seems to want to tackle the benefits of that research. Mind you, I in no way condone or endorse the horrors of what was done to those people to get that medical information. But it seems a waste to humanity just to ignore the results.

"See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil"

@1:24 Look on the left real quick and you can see "Dark Helmet".

Apparently, insanity runs in his family.

1
Anyone else miss Walter Cronkite?
1
And please explain to me who exactly is deciding on what qualifies as demonitized material? Is it the CEO of YouTube, a specially selected committee at YouTube, a lone middle manager sitting at his desk at YouTube or a long forgotten law or code of conduct brought forth to strengthen the moral fiber of America? Please tell me YouTube.
1
Indy's little helper makes an unannounced appearance across the stage at the end.
1
I'm confused, is it Woolton pie, Wilson's pie or Wilton pie?
1
So, Saxons and Normans were the same tribe, sect, race of peoples? I'm still confused.
1
WOWWWWW!!!!! Amazing how history repeats itself. So many of the statements said about past pandemics can be fast forwarded to today's pandemic.
1
A lot of those old beer brewing companies are gone or consolidated, Ballentine, Rheingold, Utica Club, Schlitz for just a few.
1
I'd hate to have her pissed off at me!
1
Orson Wells War of the Worlds.
1
I think that we as humans and civilization have plateaued as far as inventions or technologies go. Most everything now is either a rehash or embellishment of what has come forth before. Example: Aviation technology avanced from small engine to bi-wing to single fixed wing to jets in the space of 40 years. But since the 1950's it hasn't advanced. We have more efficient engines, bigger planes, etc. but nothing new.
1
@Blazcowitz1943 Didn't mean to imply that there wasn't anything left to invent. Just saying we haven't done so yet.
1
Stalin was a dick.
1
Oh, I thought that was a new line of clothing in the Time Ghost store.
1
Indy, Did you break the bridge of your nose?
