  1. I think that we as humans and civilization have plateaued as far as inventions or technologies go. Most everything now is either a rehash or embellishment of what has come forth before. Example: Aviation technology avanced from small engine to bi-wing to single fixed wing to jets in the space of 40 years. But since the 1950's it hasn't advanced. We have more efficient engines, bigger planes, etc. but nothing new.
