  1. The problem with train travel in the 21st century is that the terminals are in the middle of nowhere with no services. Hotels, rental cars and stores are centralized around airports. In Albany, NY, the train station is located in Rensallerville on the other side of the Hudson river from Albany. You need to have a car already parked, a friend or relative or cab to get to Albany.
