I always thought that those two buildings were the ugliest, unimaginative, pieces of crap that passed as buildings. But every time I see them in old movies or TV shows, I get a pang in my heart.

@13:50 And, what happened to all that gold after the attacks. See, this is the stuff you don't hear about and "the news" doesn't report on.

@22:04 Not sure where you got that figure but there is no way 500,000 people could fit in those buildings. The estimated death toll was based on 55,000 people working there.

I worked at the NY State Education Department in the IT section at the time of the attacks. Someone heard there was a plane crash in one of the towers in NYC and we tuned into CNN just as the second plane hit the second tower. We then heard about the Pentagon and I said to everyone "you realize that we are under attack?". But unfortunately couldn't do anything about it. I watched as half of my network traffic software screen turn red. Red means that the network nodes (connections) have failed. We later found out that all of our network wiring for the Southern half of NYS, NYC and Long Island passed under one of the Trade Towers. When the building went down, it severed all communication wiring underneath. So half of the State Education system had no internet or phone service. That's now been resolved by having the main trunk lines run elsewhere and built in redundancy so if one trunk goes down, the system stays up. Later on one of our techs had nervous breakdowns because he kept getting emails asking if anyone had contact with some of his college alumnus. Apparently, he had about a dozen or so friends that he went to college with that worked in those buildings and no one has had contact with since.

Personally, I think that number is bogus. I think that a lot of those floors were empty. Otherwise, the death toll would have been a lot more with the work day starting at 9:00 AM for office workers and the event happening after office hours already starting. That and there was not a lot of debris found in the rubble consistent with being offices. To me it smacks very much of a conspiracy or at least collusion. But to prove it now is hard and everyone thinks I'm crazy for saying something. I just want people to think and not follow the narrative blindly.
