  1. What do you expect! The GOP (and many of the democrats) are in the pockets of big pharma! Moreover, any talk about "universal healthcare" will quickly get you branded as a socialist!

  3. The majority of medical research is carried out in universities or the NIH, and is funded by government directly or through grants! Big pharma routinely takes that research and patents it!! The amount of money that these companies devote to R&D is minimal, especially when compared to executive comp and stock buy backs!
