  1. Makes sense, I remember trying to watch an Asterix and Obelix film once where the subtitles were a literal translation, and it was completely unintelligible nonsense. Like when May was reading the instructions on an early French car in Top gear.

  2. Japanese subs sometimes confuse him and her as well, must be an issue with translations from languages with gender neutral words.
