  1. It'd be far more efficient if the different companies just shared the same railyard, with connected track. They can then just swap locomotives, have some borrow/share/lease deal with the rolling stock and save a heck of a lot of time and money by not having to unload onto a truck for a 5 mile trip through the city just to reload.
