  1. AC is more efficient than windows down at speeds over 75 mph. Varies a bit depending on type of car and AC, but in general you need to be doing about 70 mph for it to be more efficient than windows down. However, windows up and AC off will definitely save you fuel at any speed.

  2. Best thing to do is use Cruise Control, makes the car maintain speed, also accelerates more smoothly when getting back up to speed.
