  2. Bad drivers are everywhere, if it is worse in the US its only because your laws and enforcement are so lax, fines with no points and all. But 90% of drivers in Australia don't indicate correctly, and a solid 20% frequently don't indicate at all. Not helped by it only being 1 demerit if the police stop you at all. As for Hook Turns they trip up anyone not familiar with them, even Victorians who studied them to get their L's and P's but maybe drive Melbourne CBD once a decade.
