The Australian Education system is/was also highly flawed. When I went through school they didn't cover anything International post WWII, except maybe Apolli 11. And little American history beyond Columbus, maybe a week on slavery and The Underground Railroad. Most of Asia and Europe and all of Africa beyond Egypt were ignored entirely. They did cover the Romans about 6 times, but nothing on medieval Italy. But at least we don't believe Wales is a myth or that England doesn't speak English, or that poorer countries lack agriculture and the Internet, etc. We may lack info on other countries but we are also not criminally misinformed.

@tiaelina1090 they have probably improved sonce the 90s, glad you learned more than I did. Also they may have briefly covered topics I forgot about, it was a ling time ago, but history is a passion of mine and all I strongly remember is them repeatedly covering ancient Greece and Rome, The Goldrush, WWI and II. We did the Crusades, French Revolution, a lot Australian history. But nothing on Eastern Europe, Africa, America outside the US, nothing of Asia beyond China losing the Opium Wars. Also where was your schooling? I was in regional Victoria.
