Wendy's is one of those confusing ones for me, because Australia has its own Wendy's chain which is very different from the US one. They sell Ice Cream, Milkshakes and Hotdogs from small kiosks in shopping Malls.

Australia has its own version of Target which was highly successful for a hundred years but is now in danger of permanently closing all stores. This is because they made several decisions which can only be described as braindead. Some smaller stores stopped selling men's clothes altogether, despite men making up half the population. They stopped selling clothing to fit overweight people, despite that being a huge part of the market. They decided to increase their prices and pursue a higher income clientele, despite their entire business identity and success being based on affordable clothes for those with a limited income. They stopped selling DVDs, which made up a small percentage of overall revenue, but still a noticeable one. And they decided to move their corporate headquarters from Geelong where it was founded, to Melbourne, the most expensive place to live in Australia, a move which cost them billions of dollars and served no practical purpose except to cut down on their executives commute time. It also didn't help that you couldn't buy winter gear in spring or summer gear in autumn, regardless of what the temperatures were.
