YouTube can be absolutely insane in what they won't allow to be posted though. I write a comment with no swear words, no discussion of wars or politics or pandemics and it might not post because it has one random word that their bot doesn't like which is nevertheless key to the sentence.

I'd use Adblock less if the adds were better handled. I don't mind watching an add at the start, and for a longer video maybe a mid-roll or two between segments, but most of the time the adds come in every couple of minutes with no control at all. A presenter will be cut off not just mid-sentence, but mid-word, and this could happen 5 times in a 10 minute video. Its too much. As it is, if I want to support a Youtuber I will whitelist thei channel, or temporarily unblock them and watch 2-3 adds to give them some revenue, but when just browsing, I will usually keep it on.

Never heard of these two other platforms you are talking about.

The real reason they removed it is because of big companies like EA or Disney getting upset when people dislike their trailers or boiler-plate fake apologies.

Surprised the garbage bag piles all over the place don't lower market values, or is that just normal for New York?

We could get back to normal, if every person in the world got vaccinated. But as long as 10% of the population still refuses to take the vaccine, whether because they are insisting on their right to not take it, ort because they think it will make their heads explode or be mind controlled, or whatever other dumb insane belief it is this week; the virus will remain endemic and continue to mutate into more dangerous forms.

There's just too many flaws with the US election system as well. Australia is far from perfect, but at least we have preferential voting. Council elections are also Mail Ballots only, so takes no real time to vote, the bigger problem is generally not knowing or caring who is on the local council unless there is a scandal or they are just doing a bad job.

It just highlights the difference between Trump's rhetoric and Biden's actions. Trump talks a big game about helping working Americans, but he really only cares about the 1% Biden on the other hand sees a problem and immediately moves to fix it, and doesn't need to make a big song and dance about it either.
