The real issue is that the President has that power in the first place.

What always strikes me about the inverted canopies scene is why Goose happened to have a camera with him.

The reason hand-counts take so long in the US is because you haven't bothered to maintain the infrastructure or hire the personnel for it. We only do hand-counts in Australia and it doesn't stop the results being out the next day.

I was half convinced it was a scam when I was notified about a class action against my bank last year.

Don't get me started on Uber. I am still very angry that the Victorian Government elected to deregulate the Taxi industry, costing Taxi owners and taxpayers Millions of dollars; instead of prosecuting Uber and its drivers for their flagrant violation of the law which would have resulted in millions of dollars of fines levied against the company at the very least, if not billions of dollars and jail time.

Does the extended version include the rest of The Practice? Also, JAG.

@Adyen11234 LOL, indeed. Although actually most poll workers are volunteers, mostly retirees, who get paid a nominal $20-30 a day, so its not actually that expensive, does need some funding, but how much do those machines cost? Paper Ballots are always more secure too. Also helps that we have clear and consistent rules set out by an Independent National Electoral Commission so you don't have eg. 3 different ways to vote in 3 different Counties in the same State, let alone nationally, And because voting is compulsory there is no motivation to disenfranchise people.
10
@SeddersShots True, but that also means you have more people to do the counting. The ratios stay the same even as population shifts. The US used to do hand counts everywhere too and the UK still does Paper Ballots and it has a decent population.

You ought to Lawyer 101 Dalmatians, that at least is American Law of the early 20th century. And I am curious as to whether Cruella can launch a successful Defamation suit about the song that is written about her, or the video game in the live Action version.

Or the strike could be against extremely well equipped, non-state actors. If Iran decided to give the Houthis a bunch of MIGs for example.

Yes.

Open Carry is bad, so is concealed carry. And he looked extremely smug in court. The footage of him being attacked and running away from the first guy he shot does change the story from the narrative of murder though. Nevertheless, if he hadn't been there, and if he didn't have an assault rifle... Also, he could have fired warning shots into the ground before intentionally shooting to kill.
3
At some point you should cover Youtube copywrite abuse , how it relates to SLAPP suits, and the Jim Stirling vs Digital Homicide case, the more recent drama with his channel, and eveyrthing else wrong with the current system.

Alex Jones looks and acts like a goblin.

@shinjig Well their defence lawyer was sleeping with a witness for the prosecution; the complete lack of any attempt at defence can be traced to that. Certainly grounds for the appeal. Frankly the whole thing is a sham trial, in most of the incidents brought up by the prosecution character witnesses, even if they were admissible, the stars were not at fault, often they were the victims.
2
Ok, what deluded world are you living in, $80 shoes from Nike? Please. $200 minimum cost at point of sale. Actually they were $200 20 years ago, probably twice that now. I dunno, only bad people buy Nike.
2
Wouldn't surprise me if a deep dive found the new government email service was run by Russia, but that might be a little too obvious, even for the Trump regime.

It should be illegal for a Felon to serve as President, especially as they're not permitted to vote. But that aside, he could have at least have fined Trump, maybe $20 Million or something, a trivial amount for a Billionaire.

Neck thing is a Cravat, Austin Powers was partial to them, very popular among the aristocracy from the 17th to the 19th centuries but was still worn as a fashion item in the 1960s and 70s and is still a part of some formal attires.
2
@williamharris8367 So do Barristers in Australia and UK. Judges too.

Rabb, not Rob.

The USA, Free from Freedom.

Eh, it was ok for the cop to decide to get him out of the car after the window incident, and after his answer to why aren't you wearing a seat-belt was "Don't tap on my window." But dragging him out when he was already getting out on his own, that's where it crossed the line. And from there it just got worse.

Ironic give that Tucker Carlson's entire show is telling lies, doubling down on those lies and telling more lies in order to mislead and misdirect public understanding and opinion to the detriment of the US and the planet as a whole.

1:23 Ok, who's that Creator>? I recognise him, I used to be subscribed to him, but I cannot recall who he is.

$250? that's probably what Universal's CEO spends on lunch. Yeah, way to fine them LA.
1
He is a murderer. He travelled interstate in order to fight protesters, armed himself with an assault rifle and shot and killed people. Doesn't matter that he was under attack at the time, he went there with the intent and purpose to kill and was under attack because he was armed with an assault rifle.

Spider-Man would use his name in commerce, but he can't without revealing his true identity, at least that's the argument the writers make. I'm sure there are ways around that, but Pete's a scientist, not a business major.

Cute otters.

Well of course ultimately they are pushing for every sperm to be considered a child. Because 'every sperm is sacred, every sperm is good'

The Aunt being forced to sue her Nephew for damages thing, would not happen in Australia as her hospital bills would simply fall under Medicare.

Cute bear cubs.

There is also the fact that the 'breast incident' witness slept with the defence lawyer during the trial, which may be why he didn't mount any actual defence. The act of making the video, which could have been used as evidence to catch the car thief, could have been argued as passive intervention. And even if all the prosecution character witnesses were admissible, for 90% of those incidents the 4 accused were actually in the right which a competent lawyer could have used as rebuttal. Even 'breast lady,' while the sexual assault was their bad actions; her decision to become promiscuous isn't their fault.

Joyful Noise? More like extremely irritating noise.

So, Storm is in real trouble.

There is historical precedent for surviving your plane disintegrating around you at hypersonic speeds. It happened during one of the SR-71 test flights and one of of the crew, the pilot did survive. Although that was 2400mph, not 7400mph.
1
Compulsroy voting makes voting more inclusive, means you don't get the American situation where after losing a Federal election 40 states pass draconian voter suppression laws.

Chimpanzees are Not Monkeys!

Carol is in the right up until the point she stieals his jacket and bike, that is theft. Not the actions of a hero. But at this point she isn't a hero yet, she is a soldier on a mission and the guy had it coming anyway. Still, I can see why they cut it. Also, yes, total rip-off of Terminator.
1
The Seinfield gangs' lawyer was sleeping with a witness for the prosecution in that despicable finale.
1
It was be good if you covered a far more serious frivolous lawsuit, one still pending: GWACS Armory vs KE Arms.
1
I'm a Security Guard. I hear about assaults over minor comments all the rime. Not usually A list celebs on 'live' International television though. And usually there is more than a little alcohol involved.

So, everyone should ink devil horns on all the Slave Owners on US currency.
1
Don't want politicians passing laws to declare people guilty of crimes that were not crimes before. Fair enough. But coin has two sides. Its also wrong to be able to pardon people for crimes they did commit. And as it stands pardons dont need Senate majority, just one person in power. And its not just Trump, every President gives undeserved pardons. Also you need a referendum to give impeachment trials over to the Supreme Court.

Google owns Uber....

The main problem with this movie is mistaken concept. Its not so much that Carey can't lie, but that he is forced to admit whatever thought is currently running through his mind. There is a world of difference between simply not being able to lie and being forced to own up to everything. Its not about him being a bad attorney who doesn't know he should remain silent; the spell won't let him remain silent.

The rest of the lawyers from The Practice. JAG, especially Rabb. Daredevil.

Sapient, not sentient.

10 seasons for $40? I was paying $70-80 per season as it was coming out on DVD.
