  1. Why do Americans believe Israel is an ally? Rich Israelis in USA (and there are plenty of them... Google/YouTube, Facebook, WSJ, NYT, ... ) do not ever give a single penny to Christian American homeless. Israelis never fight for USA. Israelis do not shed blood for USA. But USA gives 5 Billion dollars / year and sometimes sheds blood to protect Israel. Ask any American what has Israel done for USA and you will get a blank stare. Still.... Americans are convinced that Israel is some great friend... for some reason they don't remember.
