As a Paramedic, the only time I've ever had a cop question my parking on an emergency scene was a simple question to ask how long we'd be, and even that annoyed me that they would interrupt patient care for that, let alone THIS! In my jurisdiction though, there are actually strict laws around right of way for emergency vehicles, and police are at the BOTTOM of the list. If I have my lights on, I have right of way over the police.
