  2. That only worked on about 80-90% of drives. I had a few that would never shut no matter how much you pushed on the tray, and you had to use the button.

  3. One of the fun parts about it not being an official standard is that it was implemented in different ways by different companies. I saw some MP3 CD players that could handle folders and playlists, and others that would choke if you gave it a CD that had anything other than just a bunch of MP3 files, couldn't even handle folder structure let alone playlists. And that's not to mention the fact that some of them could only handle certain bit rates and not others, some that could handle long file names and others that couldn't etc.
