  1. Cooking on gas is better. With the exception of the modern inductive cooktops. But compared to your standard electric range, gas is far better to cook on. That doesn't necessarily mean more efficient, just better for cooking. That's sad around here are electricity is not two or three times cheaper, it's more than five times cheaper. The same reason that heat pumps are a bad idea here are the reason why electric stoves are a bad idea. I like efficiency, I also like money in my wallet.
