  1. My first MSR. Ruger claims that the newer barrels are much better than the originals. Interesting to learn about Sullivan's contribution to the Mini and the M77.

  2. The company used an inferior barrel for years. Mine would string shots 10+ moa when it heated up. I suspected that the biggest reason for selling the gun with a 5-round magazine was to mitigate that problem. Ruger claims that their newer guns have better tubes than the older ones, but IMO the mini-14 is still an inferior gun to an AK74 with a CHF barrel. Nowadays, of course, it is a much more affordable one as well.

  4. The LEO only AC-556 was available in select-fire. Never heard how well it worked (or didn't).
