  8.  @shantishanti1949  Most of my investments in retirement are shares bought outside of superannuation with no tax concessions, franking credits were brought in by Paul Keating so that shareholders didn't have to pay tax on their share of the company's profit twice. Deserving an old age pension because they didn't invest for their retirement makes no sense to me, but at least they won't starve.

  9.  @shantishanti1949  My share portfolio alone outside of superannuation means that I don't get an old age pension, I could have spent that money on extravagance instead of investing for my retirement but silly me I wanted to save the tax payers a fortune and have more security in retirement, you can thank people like me for your pension being as big as it is plus all of the pensioner benefits that go with it.
