  5. New modern low emission coal power stations are all that is needed to maintain and grow our electricity supply needs. This massive investment in solar and wind and transmission and batteries is absolute lunacy just to appease some stupid Paris agreement made up by a pack of halfwits. Failing that nuclear is the only answer as an alternative. Roof top solar and batteries of course have a part to play but these ridiculous wind turbines and associated transmission is a ridiculous proposition.
