  1. Scrap subsidies on renewables and don't use tax payers money for transmission and let private enterprise compete with each other to do whatever they like, a bit like petrol stations really.

  3. That would cost tax payers a fortune, oh you mean confiscate it after share holders have paid a fortune to acquire it. They can confiscate your home and superannuation and car while they are at it.

  4.  @nosferatut9084  Probably because they paid billions to buy them, because Government needed the money for other things. The big bad companies then keep paying big taxes and royalties to Government. Any monopolies are then still Government regulated as to how much they can charge consumers.

  5. Does Government pay for petrol stations or supermarkets or banks or insurance companies or clothing stores or restaurants or holiday accommodation NO, why is it paying for electricity infrastructure ?
