@samisthebest6138 News flash people will withdraw anything over 3 million and put it into tax shelters and pay ZERO tax, the Government will miss out on the 15 percent tax that they have been getting. Rich people are smart, that's why they are rich.

Retired people don't have income any more so their tax rate will be well below 30 percent, why the hell would they keep money in superannuation paying 30 percent tax.

@waza987 Only imbeciles invest in bank deposits, they can keep 3 million in super and pay no more tax, it's only the amount over 3 million that cops the extra tax. They can withdraw that extra amount and buy a more expensive home to live in or buy shares that don't pay dividends or gold and pay no tax at all compared to 30 percent keeping it in super.
