  1. Let private enterprise invest in whatever electricity generation that they like with no subsidies and they have to pay for the associated transmission involved. Renewables wouldn't get a look in, coal would win hands down.

If we replaced old coal power stations with modern low emission new ones we wouldn't need to spend any money on transmission and batteries and it would be much more reliable, bugger net zero intelligence because that's what China is doing even though they are switching to electric vehicles to reduce carbon monoxide not carbon dioxide.
