  1. We don't need to spend a trillion dollars on new transmission if we simply upgrade our existing coal power stations with new low emission ones, too complicated for Bowen.

  3.  @gingertom56  Gas is more expensive than coal, and is only suitable for short periods of high demand, private enterprise won't invest in new coal power stations because Labor opposes it.

  4.  @gingertom56  Interesting, modern coal power stations might be less toxic but it looks like we will be stuck with renewables and gas until nuclear one day in the future. Private enterprise only invested in huge gas projects because they could export it otherwise they would never have happened.
