Adoption isn't soetmhing everyone can choose, and it does not spare women the trauma of childbirth.   31.  @MidwestAdventure2024  A lot of "pro-lifers" are totally fine with children growing up locked in closets with no hope of succeeding in life. They seem to forget there's a class of people that's forever locked to minimum wage, and minimum wage provides survival for one person, but not a livelihood. I grew up with very little, and one memory I will never forget is crying in a store before Halloween because my father told me that we couldn't afford a $4 toy. The realization that we were so poor was too much for a 7 year old to bear. My faith in my parents was shaken, because I didn't know why they would let us be so desolate, but I eventually realized that they had no choice. As I got older, I started missing out on experiences with other children because we couldn't afford any of the things they were interested in. Eventually, things got a little bit better, but by then the damage had already been done. I was afraid of anything that costed money to do, I was terrified of my possessions breaking down or getting damaged. I had no way of knowing when I'd be able to replace any of these things, and my stress levels are starting to cause me health problems. I had a natural talent for music, but we didn't have the money to invest in getting me any instruments, or any lessons. Now as an adult, I'm too damaged to do anything with my life. I hate it here.
