And here we are still wanting better batteries for our devices than what was invented almost 50 years ago.

@blazernitrox6329 Maybe they'll be able to encase the chip in diamond to keep the pressure up or something like that with other tricks involved like magnetism.
25
@ No they really are not significantly better, just stop lmao. There have been improvements on the implementation and utilization of the pre-existing technology but there has been no revolutionary next generation advancements in batteries since lithium ion to date. Lets try and be honest.

That's the power of AI my friend!
4
No does not seem like it.
2
Does not seem like it.
2
@ Troll? Apparently it's news to you we can made diamonds in a lab now and cheap and fast, and the time inversely drops with the volume of diamond created like a thin veneer over a computer chip.
2
@ That's the point it isn't leagues better, it's the same fundamental technology with no revolutionary improvements like the 2-3 times improvement lithium ion made on the previous. The functional improvements for consumer products over the last 25 years has been on average around 50% when rechargeable batteries have most been used. We've needed that next leap of another 2-4 times storage density for awhile now.

Well that's far from what's happening now...

You sure it's the cpu I've literally seen not one user report anywhere but yours so far that it's their laptop chip. Intel never said it's affecting laptops, no news reports say it's affecting laptops, the game error report data like the pie chart here shows zero laptop chips...
2
This has nothing to do with the laptop cpu's.
1
@BB-uy4bb exactly I've seen literally zero info to suggest the laptop cpu's are having issues, even the data pie chart shows all desktop cpu's. Nor all the countless user reports on forums, they are all desktop seen zero laptop user reports.
1
The irony is it produced an extremely powerful laptop chip that isn't having these issues for the 13 and 14 gen lol.
1
@timiko4 Where do you get the laptop chips are affected? I see no reports in news, zero reports from any users across many posts now, and the game error data shows zero of the errors are from laptops like we just saw in the one dev pie chart report here.
1
@akin242002 ya I've seen zero reports or indication or user reports that the laptop cpus are having issues.
1
@squallleonheart4803 dunno what timiko is talking about I've seen literally nothing on it affecting laptops, never even a single user report anywhere either.
1
That's what AI is for lol

@Voidstroyer or maybe it is heat throttling, some run significantly hotter than others, or if you added memory to upgrade the speed isn't a direct match so while downgrading the speed to match your system it gives issues I've read that happening to people.
1
@SamuelSapiel warframe error report data doesn't show laptops affected, laptop companies report no increase in returns, intel says it does not affect laptops, laptop chips run on different specs regardless of the same chips being used... There has been no credible evidence that laptops are affected to date and so far all the evidence we do have shows they aren't. So...
1
I'm just glad this doesn't appear to affect the laptop cpu's because if the cpu is done the whole laptop is toast at least on a desktop you can replace it.
