  1. I live in Canada and let me tell you it doesn't work. We have been having a major health crisis here for the past seven to ten years. We cannot get a family doctor; get tests, or surgeries in a timely fashion. Might take a year before you can see a specialist. ER wait times are 10 to 24 hours. I have had severe knee pain for three months and could not even get an appt for an MRI until next summer. So I just went to Buffalo to get an MRI and it cost me almost $800.00 out of my own pocket. It might take up to a year to see an Orthopedic doctor. Meanwhile I'm using crutches and can't work. I need to work to pay my rent. Get the picture? People here want privatized health care now, because our system is broken due to poor management, Covid, and shortage of doctors and nurses. Our govt and hospitals brought this on by letting go of large numbers of staff who refused to get vaccinated. So they either found other work, or moved to the US. Many also took an early retirement. I'm a dual citizen and ended up in ER twice over the years in N.C. The service was fast and fantastic! Absolutely no comparison to our ER here, where I nearly died after an right hour wait. My senior friends there could get an MRI within a week's time, and a specialist appt. within two weeks. Just no comparison at all to Canada!
