When a person repents and believes they receive the Holy Spirit, who lives in us, comforts, and guides us into all truth. We have a restored relationship with God the Father, through Christ Jesus. We have complete inner peace with Him. One day we shall be with Him in the new heaven and earth. Until we're born again, Satan has blinded our minds to the truth of God's Word, and we resist the Holy Spirit's striving with us. That's because He gave all of us a conscience. That's how we know right and wrong even without the Bible. Romans chapter 1 best explains what happens to people who deny Him, and worship self instead of God. I suggest you read it, and II Peter 3

God allowed Job's faith to be tested for His own glory and put Satan to shame. He is the accuser of the brethren and accuses them day and night. In the end our sufferings are for our good and sanctification, and God's glory. Job was an exemplary example of godly character.
