Since we are all created in God's image, we are spiritual beings. Therefore, we either follow Satan who is the god of THIS world, or we follow Jesus, and His righteous kingdom. Romans chapter 1 clearly tells us that when we push away the knowledge of God, we set up idols. Several are listed, but the first one is man, or SELF. Indeed as God has said in Psalm 14:1....The fool has said in His heart, there is no God.
