@c.a.saunders2819 Thank you very much for your kind & gracious words, and also for sharing some of your personal & life's experience. I said to myself.... is this guy for real.... or....is he maybe an angel ?? Your speech and wisdom made it clear that you're light was shining !
I think, especially as Christians, that we are shaped & transformed much by lifes experiences, as well as by the Word of God. I also have had a very interesting life, and am no stranger to various sorts of trials. Of course, my career was one in which I witnessed enormous suffering, but I also had the joy of seeing hearts transformed by the gospel, with many opportunities to witness.
Going to Bible college for several years helped me learn a lot about world religions. It was my intention to go into the mission field overseas somewhere, but God changed those plans by letting a little tick bite get me very sick.
After four years of being misdagnosed, I went to Kansas & received help for several years at a holistic clinic. So, instead of going overseas to work in an orphange, I ended up working mostly with seniors in my later years. Previously, I had worked on many different wards in several hospitals.
Well, we know that all things work together for good to them that love God ! There is a plaque on my bedroom wall that says : Only one life, 'twill soon be past, Only what's done for Christ will last.
So I strive to be about my Masters business as time moves on swiftly, and opportunities still present itself.... to be a blessing to someone... both locally and abroad !
