Why do you say that? He certainly has much knowledge of scripture. When Piers Morgan interviewed him recently he asked him about his faith & if he prays. He said yes, he asks God for wisdom every day! Now thats what I call true humility! He also prays for protection for his family, state. & country! I'm voting for Ron! Long time since we actually had a God fearing president! The other two candidate's use God's name in vain when they think it might help them score some points. Hypocritical!

@joeybagodoughnuts3357 All of it! Read the Bible and you will not find what the catholic church teaches there! The pope is NOT Christ's representative on earth. Jesus is, through the Holy Spirit who lives in the born again believer. The priesthood was done away with before Christ was born, & Jesus is now our prophet, priest & king. No need for any other ! Read the book of Hebrews to better understand that. Today's priests in the catholic church are doing something that is plainly NOT Biblical, and not natural. That's why there is so much sexual abuse involving catholic priests! No where in the new testament does Jesus tell us to go confess our sins to a priest! He's born in sin like the rest of us! We only confess our sin to God & Jesus who ALONE can forgive us of our sin! Praying to Mary is idolatry & an insult to Christ! She is NOT the mother of God! God does not have a mother! He is a Spirit . Mary does not ask Jesus for favors to you! She was the earthly mother of Jesus, and called him her Saviour! Thus, born a sinner like the rest of us. Highly favored because she was chosen by God to be the earthly mother of Jesus. No where does scripture tell us to pray to Mary , thus it is idolatry. Christ alone must have the preminence! The New Testament has only two sacraments. Baptism & the Lord's supper. Catholics have seven or eight. Baby baptism is not scriptural & does not save the baby's soul! Confirmation also not in the Bible! Pergatory... another false teaching of the Catholic church! Jesus taught two places after death... Heaven or hell. Nothing in between! The Catholic teachings are decieving souls by the millions with their anti Christ teachings. I highly recommend Catholics search the scriptures ( minus the apocryphal books) so the truth will set you free! Also recommend sermons on this topic by pastor John MacArthur at Grace To You Ministries. There are numerous messages exposing the false teachings to help Catholics understand the truth of God's Word & set them free from spiritual bondage. The New Testament defines what Chritianity is and it's not the Catholic church of today. Protestantism began after God saved several priests who got a hold of a Bible and studied it. The truth set them free and the Reformation began! So did persecution as a result, but the gospel message spread & Holy Spirit moved mightly saving thousands of souls everywhere as true Christianity spread. Are some Catholics saved? Yes, if they are born again; saved by grace & not by their own works. Ordinarily, God brings them to the knowledge of the truth through the word of God. My pastor was a former Catholic until God saved him. Many of my friends are former Catholics too. God has His people everywhere & is still saving people from all backgrounds around the world, but its the truth that is the key! Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth & the Life. Seek & you will find, ask & you will receive.

@rro660 About Ron reciting scripture.. We don't know, bit it seems evident he has a pretty knowledge of it and reads it. He revealed that while speaking in Israel and quoting Old Testament scripture and history.

@D the mat tao said it well. Our "good works" cannot be our righteouness before God, because even our best works in this life are imperfect & polluted with sin. Therefore they are NOT meritorious. For the born again believer, good works are the fruit of the new birth. True saving faith will produce good works done out of love to God & neighbor. It's the evidence of being born again. It will come naturally to the believer, and they are not keeping brownie points, because they are done out love which the Holy Spirit who indwells them produces. Hence, read how surprised believers are on the judgement day when Jesus calls them blessed of His Father. & invites them into the His kingdom. Matthew 25: 33-40. Then look at what he says to the goats ( unbelievers) from verse 41-46. Abraham believed God & it was accounted to him for righteousness . (Galations 3:6) That means we are justified by faith not works. Our works follow faith hence Abraham obeyed God when he was tested to sacrifice his son Isaac.What James chapter 3 is explaining is that faith always produces good works. It is the proof & result of being born again through by faith. Faith without works is dead, or non existent. But the works are not meritorious; they are done by God's grace in the believers heart. Romand 3: 28 says: Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith APART FROM THE DEEDS OF THE LAW. The best books to study on this topic is Romans and Galations. And remember, the Catholic church does not define the New Testament! The New Testament defines what true Christianity is! Most of the teachings of the Catholic church are contrary to the Jesus teaching, and the apostles teaching! Read & study it for yourself. I've always been amazed how few Catholics even read the Bible, and that makes it very easy to be decived by false doctrine & vain traditions of man!
