I can relate to the breach of trust. When I was in my early twenties, I was coming home from a family event after work. It was very late. I was a nurse and still had my uniform on. I was a pretty attractive lady, and single.
A cop pulled me over because one of my tail lights wasn't working. He took my ID into his cruiser, and I wondered what took him so long to return it. It had several pieces of ID in it like license, insurance, and maybe one more. He handed it back to me and told me to get the light fixed.
After getting home, I did some things in my apartment, and thankfully had not gotten into my night clothes yet. About 20 minutes later there's a knock on my door. At 3 am that's pretty scary. I looked through the window of my door, and there was the same cop. So I felt obligated to open the door.
He had taken my license out of my clear plastic holder and deliberately kept it, so he could come over under the guise of forgetting to give it back to me.
So he handed it to me and then....the shocker....asked me if he could come in for a cup of coffee! Seriously! He was much older than me; likely in his forties. I was so stunned, of course I said no! So he said ok...I won't bother you again.
Yeh, right. From that incident on I never wholly trust any police officer, even though I know most of them are good. I called my boyfriend and he said I should report the officer. I did not have any information on him, or badge number. So, being shy and embarrassed, I let it go.
Now I'm 70, but I never forgot that night. You can never be too careful ladies! (That happened in the Hamilton Wentworth region)

JT's silence for weeks now, is just another proof of his incompetence. His party is in utter disarray, and MP's and are falling like dominos. Instead of leading or resigning, he's on holidays or in hiding.
As for his job to comminicate with Canadians when there's a crisis, he's been a total failure. Instead of doing what's right and calling for an election, he's no where to be seen or heard.
His first priority seems to be saving himself, and his shattered party; and then preventing PP from being our next PM which is inevitable. Thar JT just cant swallow, along with his pride.
Even though he knows Canadians desperately want him out, and an election asap, he will pursue his own desires, just like he's always done.....for nine years.
Instead of bowing out in humilty and common sense, he and his party ( whatever's left of it) will gasp for air to keep themselves on life support until next October.
What a sad state of affairs Canada is in! We haven't had a real leader (s) for soooo many years now, It's a real disgrace.
Let's hope and pray the urgent changes will come sooner, rather than later. After all, the whole country seems to be on life support.
