  1. The sad truth is that the majority of people with Lyme disease in Canada are mis diagnosed, like myself. The Elisa blood test is all we use and it shows 50 % false positives and false negatives. It is not even used in the US, as it is considered inaccurate. There are 2-3 better tests in US so be prepared to go south if you're not getting answers here ! After four years of running around to different specialists, I was diagnosed on my first first visit in NJ ! Followed by treatment in Witicha, KS where I had my first significant improvement. If I had the money, I would have stayed there !

  3. Make sure you get at least three weeks of antibiotics or you will not likely get rid of it ! Then you will come fown with more & more symptoms !

  4. At least three weeks of an antibiotic if you've had a tick bite ! Do not wait until you have symptoms ! It may be too late as the spirochete can go to the brain and cause neurogical problems ! It is a multi system illness and can affect many areas. I am proof this is true. Mis diagnosed in Canada for four years. Went to NJ and MD and diagnosed right away ! Our only blood test is not even considered legitimate there ! ( Elisa)

  6. Unless you're treated promptly with antibiotics for three weeks, yiu will likely become chronically ill indefinitely. I'm one of them.

  7. Boosters for what ? Just educate yourself. Doctors here are misdiagnosing people every year ! I am one of them along with hundreds of others ! Forget about the blood test. Its useless & is not even used in the US.
