That can happen in part when you have the right to vote for good, upright men of integrity. Let"s remember the saying " all that's necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing". Perhaps thats why the holocoust took place. Romans 13-1-8 clearly shows that God ordained govt. for the good of society. So obviously its wise to have good and upright people in your govt. rather than corrupt ones. Just look around the world and you know what I mean.

We who are born again have received the Holy Spirit when we repented and believed. Christ lives in the believer by the Holy Spirit. Thus we understand and experience that God is real and we understand spiritual truths by the grace of God.

If you were so humble and smart yourself, you would have provided proof, but you cant. I happen to have known the scriptures from my youth and had regular Bible instruction my whole life. I taught Sunday school. I also went to Bible college for four years. Now please tell where you got your Bible " knowledge".

  43.  @JT.Pilgrim  I have no clue where you live or what churches are around you. What I do know is that I am 70 years old and have been in protestant churches my entire life. All of these churches support the poor ; all have benevelant funds which the members give to specifically to help the poor. All of them support mission work and practical relief around the globe. All of them either send out missionaries and / or volunteers to help those in need and poverty in various places. My current church has sponsered a refugee family from Lebanon ( they were refugees from Syria) Currently we are helping Ukranians find housing and jobs. We support the food bank, the pregnancy center, the soup kitchen, and support at least 9 or 10 mission works across the globe. Including several missionaries sent out from our own local church. We have a seniors ministry, a summer camp for children in the community, a mercy ministry helping those in need practically, and bring free home cooked meals to the sick, or mothers who just had a baby. We also have a youth ministry and have small life groups that meet in people's homes to share each cares and provide support and prayer. We also support a local Bible cillege and seminary. I cant think of any place I rather be in this troubled world than in a healthy local church ! Most of the ones I have been members of are evangelical Baptist churches. So if you are looking for support, meaning in life, fellowship, and spiritual growth, I recommend finding a local evangelical church. God bless you.

They are looking for venues for people in the community to vote. So again nothing wrong with that. Just people looking for unfounded ways to critize Christians. I will be more specific in refuting when I have time. But for now I will mention your quote about Noah's drunkeness episode. The fact that scripture records honestly the reality of sin, does by no means indicate God promotes it. Of course He doesnt. Why do you think He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die FOR our sins ?! Your attempt to say scripture " endorses" slavery is also dead wrong. The believers he is writing to found themselves living in a society that did practice slavery at that time. As we all find ourselves living in different time periods, and in different socities, we may not be able to change that. The issue he is addressing here, is not whether or not slavery is right, but how a BELIEVER must conduct himself under those circumstances he finds himself in, in a God honoring way. Enough for now

Thats why there are times when a govt has no choice but to go to war. Leaders will be held accountable to God for the decisions they make. You need to read Romans 13 : 1-8 to better understand this.

He sees them as another " fringe minority" like the truckers & their supporters.. Its plain for all to see who he's always courting. LGBTQ+++, muslims, Palestian/ Hamas supporters, Indians ( from India) and all immigrants who he has brought to Canada in hopes of saving himself in the next election. Now Im not against reasonable immigration, but we all know that we now have nothing but crisies as a result. Housing crisis, health care crisis, inflation crisis, protest crisis and more ! You sound like a bitter angry person due to your circumstances who wants to blame people you dont know for your lack of assistance. Although I feel for your circumstances, the solution to your problem is not critizing imaginary people you dont know. I also am a poor senior who has been disabled with a chronic illness for decades. In spite of my disability I have served other seniors for decades. I use the food bank, but still bless others with the little I have. I also do not bear my burdens alone, but according to scripture am part of a church of believers who care for and help each other. This is God's design for us. I could sit at home and wait for someone to come and wash my feet, but thats rather unrealistic. Until you realize your need of God in your life I suspect you'll continue to complain and be bitter. Turn your life over to Jesus, repent and believe first of all & you will have inner peace with God. Then try getting connected to believers in your area and become part of a church family, and see what God will do for your obedience. Maybe its time to step out in faith instead of wallowing in your misery.( and I do not say that to be insensitive at all)

Most seniors over 70 have dentures and that is not our real issue. We need to have our monthly pensions significantly increased so we can pay our rent, bills, and buy food. Currently low income seniors lile me cannot afford any of that !
