Then he died a cruel death on the cross so we would not have to pay the penalty ourselves. Sin is so serious that the only way to be reconciled to God is through Jesus. To all who repent and believe He gives eternal life. John 3:16-21 Your mis quote of Matthew 5 refers to believers. You people always misquote the definition of love as well. God tells us how to live because He knows what is good for us. Any perversion of His will for us is idolatry. I Romans chapter 1 tells you plainly what God says about sexual immorality of all kinds.
