Why are we all so surprised about this? First of all it's Trudeau, not Trump, who slapped 23% carbon tax on Canadians, and have caused us all to suffer! Secondly, the misuse of our taxes and overspending has put us into unsustainable debt, and an economic crisis! Our dollar at 69 cents! Then leaving our borders open and Canadians unprotected! Our military weak and unready for any attacks.. Billions to Ukraine and UNWRA while Canadians suffer for survival. What could possibly go wrong eh?! Trudeau and the Liberals/ NDP brought this chastiment upon Canada by their nine years of incompetency! Nor will they be able to stop the tariffs because Trump has no respect for Trudeau & the Liberals. Canadians dint either The only hope things will improve is getting Pollievre in as PM and their good, respectable MP's! Experienced people with commin sense.

@caroleroy742 I am certainly not proud to be Canadian. All this is happening because of our Liberal govt. and the NDP. For nine years they have imposed huge carbon taxes on us and then gave most of it to foreign countries ( billions to Ukraine) and WEF agendas like CC. Neglected seniors and the disabled, and never increased our pensions once They totally neglected our borders and military. This is why we are getting the tariffs. For not doing what we should have. Furthermore their foolish immigration policies have caused a housing crisis, health care crisis, huge crime increase, and border insecurity. It's high time to vote for a new gov't and PM, and 80 % of Canadians want the Conservation party this time around! JT and the Liberals are finished! Pierre Pollievre will be the PM very soon. I'm sure he will bring back dialogue and respect to Canada! If anybody bullied us it was the current gov't. with a 23% tax increase last April ( 2024) and another hike coming this April. A 61 cent per litre gas tax! We'll be paying close to. $10.00 per gallon pretty soon! That's criminal! Now I haven't even mentioned the food increases which are our of control, and rent which is out of control!

@barrhavener well...I do not know about all that. I do remember some years ago we had a brown out for a few days ( in southern ON)l and we were told the problem was in the US) I think one of the eastern power grids. Anyway people panicked because we could not get gasoline at the pumps and the grocery stores were shut down by the health Dept. The third day the power was restored, but I can only imagine the chaos if it was longer!
