  1. I want to respond to someone who posted, try being black and see how racism is in the UK.. As a child of 1962, I was given a black doll, I was scared of it (I admit this, I was very, very young and had never seen a black person). When I was about 7 or 8 I used to stay with my grandparents in Slough, I played with a girl and her baby twin brothers, I think they were from Pakistan. A few years later I went round to see them, and I was spat at in the face by one of the twin boys. Living in Cambridge, which is a multicultural cosmopolitan city, in the 2000’s I was recommended an Indian takeaway in Mill Road (known as the cultural centre of Cambridge), I was served by an elder and, possibly his son, the son made me feel quite unwelcome, but the elder seemed to disagree with his son. We hosted EFL students from all over the world for many years, and enjoyed every minute. So as a white, British person, I have also been on the receiving end of racism here in the UK. I don’t have a single racist bone in my body.

  2.  @nickryder9669  I was just saying that as a white British person that I have been racially abused. It’s not a nice feeling for anyone to experience.

  4. I agree with you completely. Yes I have only experienced it very few times, but it I’m saying that it does happen both ways.
