I was speaking to friend of mine who used to work with r & d on drug delivery systems, he suggested that money could be generated by charging £20 for doctors appointments, it would raise a lot of money and prevent missed appointments, it should also be means tested. Sounded a good idea to me. I now rely on telephone appointments for my mother. I don’t think I will ever see a doctor or dentist again, it seems to me like I’m constantly running the gauntlet.

@rinkydinkpanther3367 Means testing means it would be free to those than cannot afford it. The NHS has many problems now from when it was first devised because of increase in population and mismanagement by the government. £20 for a GP doctors appointment would generate a lot of revenue. Dentistry since covid has shot up, I was quoted £66 just for a checkup as an NHS patient.
