  1.  @Nauda999  Surface vessels will probably be around for a little while longer. Remember, AI technology can also be used to enhance defences, against drones. Presently, it is thanks to surface warships that the Persian Gulf remains open for navigation. This is despite the boast/warning from Iran's Defence Minister that the large ships presented juicy targets for their swarms of drones and speedboats. Drones may eventually displace surface vessels, but along the way they're going to face swag of new counter measures (physical and electronic).
