@PomegranateChocolate So, how is that any different to the place that currently manufactures most of our phones? At least in India, the votes of ordinary people can, and regularly do, change governments. If you are concerned about a "...country has laws that gives the state the power to detain or kill anyone with impunity", then you better not buy anything at all, made in China.

@M F Good point. However, on the subject of people buying phones that are made in China, can you show me where you have previously made comments about China's treatment of Muslims?

@jameslim3850 China is much more efficient than India, in its mistreatment of Muslims. It puts millions of them in concentration camps, in Western China, instead of letting them walk the streets. Out of sight is out of mind. Does this mean it's better to buy a phone from China than from India? Maybe we should ask the Muslims here? Do they prefer to be persecuted by India or China?

The US, and many other countries are annoyed with China for lots of other reasons: stealing technology, ignoring copyright laws building artificial islands in international waters shark finning bear bile, invasion of Tibet persecution of Tibetans persecution of Muslims in western China, persecution of Falun Gong followers having current border disputes with 23 countries ignoring rulings of the international court on the Spratleys sponsoring the extinction of rhinos sponsoring the extinction of tigers sponsoring the extinction of clouded leopards sponsoring the extinction of black bears sponsoring the extinction of African elephants hacking ... and don't forget all those filthy viruses 1957: Asian Flu from Guizhou. 1968: Hong Kong Flu (started on mainland China) 2002: SARS 2009: Dabie bandavirus, or SFTS virus 2012: H7N9 2019: Covid-19 2020: G4 EA H1N1 ... and the biggest of all, 1347: Bubonic Plague (aka the Black Death) But instead, you preach the propaganda of the CCP about others being jealous and not wanting China to be successful. You want us to believe that China and the CCP, are the victims. Nice try, but it didn’t work… 😉 PS: I’m not from the USA or India but I’m glad that China is losing business to India because I know that annoys you… 🤣

@BW K True. But when you talk about manufacturing in China, you are essentially talking about Chinese factories. In China, nearly every large factory, is owned (or partly owned) by members of the CCP.
