  1. Imagine, "... if New Zealand was colonized by bats instead of bird's...". Then, the bats would have started evolving, to fit the different niches in the environment and if left alone for several million years there would have eventually appeared... Batman! EDIT: Ooops! In this day and age, I should have said, Batperson, instead of Batman. Apologies to any offended and traumatised, millennials, out there.

  2.  @TheNotverysocial  Don't know about, "better off", but I certainly like variety. I love Wallabies, especially the little, Tamar Wallabies... and of course, quokkas. I'm lucky to be living in Perth (Western Australia). So, I can pop over to Rottnest Island, now and then, to get my quooka fix. 😉
