@rayc5674 LOL! Changing your tune. You implied that NATO's expansionism provoked Russia's response. Now you're saying, everyone is expansionists, in which case Russia has nothing to complain about.
No one, is forced to join NATO. Membership is not imposed by conquest, then validated by fake referenda. R caused the creation of NATO. It wasn't by coincidence that all those Central Asian Republics and Warsaw Pact members, left in 1991, as soon as they could. Nobody would have left and joined NATO, if R had treated others fairly.
Whinging about the British Empire, is barking up a tree that has already been cut down. Likewise for the rest of the EU. Get over it. No one, including you, is responsible for actions undertaken before they were born.
Conversely, this video concerns the actions of people, right now. Those people are still practising colonial expansionism, as they were, long before NATO was born. If anything, they caused the formation of NATO. Check the dates.
BTW, if greedy President T wants Greenland, then he's no better than Vlad P. It just means they're equally bad and you'll probably love them both.

@rayc5674 Aww! Poor baby didn't like it when the 480 year, on going history, was pointed out. Didn't like being told that the R is tge reason, others are still joining NATO. The best reply he/she could muster was, "your essay". LOL! That's so convincing.
But hey, you don't have to just take it from me. Pick up your phone and talk to people in Latvia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Finland, Poland, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Poland, Estonia, Romania... etc. There's no law against it. It's much more than just my "essay"... and that really annoys you doesn't it.

@rayc5674 "...back a long way in history." Thee policy is ongoing. An inconvenient truth for some... unless they're also an expansionist, like President T (Greenland).
R's ongoing expansionism was the driving force for its installation of repressive, communist puppet regimes, across Eastern Europe. That in turn, spurred the creation of NATO. Russia has never given up on reviving its hegemony in the region. Disinformation campaigns and political interference, are small, compared to their other aggressive activities. Every day, for the last 25 years, the nations of Eastern Europe, the Baltic, and Central Asia, have been subjected to tens of thousands of cyber attacks. If you don't believe me, pick up your phone and ask people in Romania, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Finland, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Finland, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Czechia, Bulgaria... etc. It's not nice, having R's, shut down your power grid in midwinter, as happened to Romania and Ukraine (2016).
As for TDS - I love his domestic policies: deporting illegal immigrants (about time), ending DEI selections (only merit, should count), taking on China (long overdue). It's fabulous! His partnership with Putin however, is not good for America or the wider, democratic world. My appreciation of his domestic policies have not blinded to his shortcomings. I don't believe he's perfect and I encourage you, to entertain that possibility.
