  1. Trust me. If India does not takeover some of the role of world manufacturer from China, then the whole world, including India, will be taken for a much worse ride. By all means, bargain for good deal. But don't feel that there are no other (long term) benefits, for India.

  2. There are some exceptions to that rule. In 1983, for example, America invaded the Caribbean nation of Granada, to restore its, democratically elected, government. The exercise was of no economic or strategic benefit, to the USA, at all. It was purely, altruistic behaviour. I know that America, like most other countries, is usually motivated by economic, self interest. I'm just saying that occasionally, their actions spring from morality.

  3. Australia and New Zealand, are supply free vaccines, to many of their Pacific neighbours. Believe me, quite a few rich countries, are helping other nations, in their own regions. It makes sense even if it's only out of self interest. After all, the virus has crossed many borders. So, by helping your neighbours, you are helping your own citizens.
