@firetree2007 The last time China went to war, it got its arse kicked by Vietnam (1979). Chinese forces outnumbered their Vietnamse opponents by 11 to 1. I'll bet they didn't teach you that, in school. In any case, China would be useless in any war. The whole world knows China's weakness. One rocket into the side of the Three Gorges Dam, and it's game over. You don't even need a warhead.

In 1979, China proclaimed, very loudly that it was going to punish Vietnam for its occupation of Cambodia, and restore the Khmer Rouge regime of Pol Pot. China and Pol Pot's government were allied. When China withdrew from Vietnam, it declared that its objectives were achieved. But: 1. The Vietnamese continued to occupy Cambodia for another decade. They did not leave till 1979/80. You can check this. As you said, “simple google you will see”. 2. Pol Pot was never restored to power. In fact, he was never able to return to Cambodia. He eventually died, in exile, in China. “simple google you will see”. 3. You don’t have to believe me, or anybody from China or Vietnam. Just ask a Cambodian. Nobody in Cambodia ever remembers the PLA, reaching Cambodia, or restoring Pol Pot’s government. “simple google you will see”. At least you now know that you have not been told the full truth. You also stated, “what you said does not mean Indian army is better than Vietnam army, there is no logic in it”. There is certainly, "no logic in" your statement, either. I never mentioned India. Do you think I am Indian?

@firetree2007 "4. the war did not stop at 1979". Correct. China took 10 years to realise that it would never be able to shift the Vietnamese from Cambodia. Yup! The PLA outnumbered the Vietnamese army 11 to 1 but was never able to "liberate", Cambodia. As I say, don't take my word for it, or that of the CCP. Instead, ask anyone from Cambodia if they remember the PLA coming there and restoring Pol Pot. Imagine that? China could not save its ally, from a tiny country like Vietnam...🤣 Show me the video footage of the liberation? Show the film or photos of the PLA, triumphantly marching into Phnom Penh? Show me the proof that China was able to restore its ally, Pol Pot, to power. None of these things were achieved despite the CCP's declaration of support for the Khmer Rouge. The rest of the world, laughed.

@firetree2007 I was alive at the time. I know what the CCP declared then, as opposed to what they are saying, now. Furthermore, even if it was not the only purpose, it was still one of the aims. As such, it remains laughable that China could do nothing for an ally in its own region, because of Vietnam.

@firetree2007 ... and how many years did it take one billion Chinese to achieve that? Nice try, but changing the subject does not constitute a rebuttal. Dominating Cambodia, the way the CCP does today, just proves the original point that I made, i.e. the CCP learned in 1979, that the PLA was useless and that they had to do things a different was.

tlieu12 Australia makes its war criminals face justice. I wish more countries would do that. That's why I've stopped buying things made in China... 🤔... and I think I'll start buying some Australian wine.
