@samg.5165 "It's simple. The longer this goes on...", the deeper the Russian economy falls. The rouble is joke and the Central Bank no longer has the reserves to prop it up. This month, Russia's two biggest life lines, India and China, have cut back on the purchases of Russian oil and gas. Russian arms exports have fallen by more than 50%. This year's deficit, has already passed the total for last year. Meanwhile, other countries are pucking up the bill for Ukraine. Even a distant, tiny country like Vietnam, has already set aside funds fot Ukrainian reconstruction.

@elsol1176 Your figure is skewed, by arms production for the war. Conversely, the plunging value if the rouble, is the international reaction to the economic data, published by Russia's own Ministry of Finance. You know what that source means. It means that no matter how bad the figures are, the truth is much worse.

@moiseshuerta3984 "Whatever anyone says won't change the fact that..." Russia spent 12 months preparing these defences and have shifted their very best troops to the area, but the Ukrainians are still moving forward.

@moiseshuerta3984 and how is the attack in Kyiv going? I heard the paratroopers captured Hostomel Airport but that was way back in February 2022. They must be much closer now, right?

@aj3314 "Because at this pace..." of decline, you'll need so many Russian banknotes, to buy one roll of toilet paper, that it'll be cheaper to just wipe with the notes.
