  1. Fun fact, the EUR district is one of the prime examples of Fascist architecture. It drew heavily on what essentially is Stripped Classicism and modernism, combining it into something rather unique that really hasn't been built since. The underlying propaganda was also never removed, providing full context into a unique piece of Italian contemporary history. Personally, I find the Foro Italico (named Foro Mussolini originally) to be one of the best looking pieces of work made during that time in Rome. Also, unlike Milan (which is sadly tearing down its history to look 'hip' and 'modern' by plastering ugly skyscrapers in its business district and out of place rectangles between ancient houses), Rome still is full of history and worth it. If you don't mind the god awful roads, that is.
